Cookie Policy and How to Change It
Version of 19 September 2026. This page is dated so you can see when the list of cookies last moved. It moves rarely.
What a cookie does here
A cookie is a small file the site asks your browser to keep and hand back on the next page. Ours do three jobs: hold a session together so you are not asked to log in on every screen, remember a setting you have chosen, and — only once you have said yes — count how the site is used so that we can fix what is slow.
This page is about two different places. The pages you are reading now store almost nothing. The lobby behind the login does more, because a cashier cannot work without a session, and both are covered below.
The three categories in the banner
Necessary
The session itself, the token that stops a form on another website being submitted against your account, the server a load balancer has put you on, and the record of the choice you made in the banner. None of these carries an advertising identifier and none of them can be switched off, because without them there is nothing to switch off them on.
Analytics
How many people opened a page, which route they took through it and how long it took to become usable on their connection. Nothing here is set until you accept, the numbers are aggregated before anyone looks at them, and the answer we get from them is usually about a slow image rather than about a person.
Marketing
Whether an offer shown to you was any use. Off by default, and the switch in the banner is the whole of it — there is no second setting somewhere else that quietly turns it back on.
What is actually stored
| Name | Category | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| szck | Necessary | Your answer to the banner, kept so it is not asked again | 12 months |
| szapp | Necessary | Remembers that you closed the app strip at the top | 12 months |
| session | Necessary | Keeps you logged in to the lobby between pages | Until you log out |
| csrf | Necessary | Protects the cashier against requests forged by another site | Session |
| _stat | Analytics | Counts the visit and how long the page took to load | 13 months |
| _camp | Marketing | Records which offer brought you here so it is not shown twice | 90 days |
The first two are not cookies in the strict sense: they live in your browser's local storage, which is the same idea with a longer memory and no journey back to our server on every request. The law treats them the same way and so do we, which is why they are listed here.
Choosing, and changing it later
On a first visit the banner offers three buttons of equal weight: accept all, save the switches as you have set them, or reject all. None is disguised as another, nothing is preselected, and closing the banner without choosing is not read as consent.
Changing your mind takes one click. Cookie settings sits in the footer of every page on this site and reopens the same banner with your current answers showing, so you can see what you agreed to before you change it. Withdrawing consent applies from the moment you save it.
Doing it in the browser instead
Every browser can block or clear cookies for a single site: in Chrome and Edge it is under Privacy and security, in Firefox under Cookies and Site Data, in Safari under Privacy on both the Mac and the iPhone. Clearing site data for this domain also clears the record of your choice, so the banner comes back on the next page you open. Blocking us entirely is a legitimate thing to do; the consequence is that the lobby cannot keep you logged in.
Signals we act on
A browser sending Global Privacy Control is treated as a rejection of the analytics and marketing categories without our asking again. The older Do Not Track header is read the same way. Neither signal switches off the necessary category, because neither can.
Cookies set by somebody else
The game studios run their titles on their own servers, so a game you open in the lobby may set something of its own under its own domain; that is theirs to explain and their notice governs it. On these pages we run no advertising cookies and embed no social network buttons. If you find something on this domain that looks like one, tell us, because it should not be there.
If something here does not match what you see
Browsers report cookies differently. Send us what yours shows at [email protected] and we will tell you which of ours it is.
